Donations are generally non-refundable
Donations to Guru Sewa Samiti are voluntary contributions for charitable and educational work, so they are normally not refunded once received.
When we do refund
We will refund a donation if:
- the same amount was paid twice by mistake (duplicate payment);
- a wrong amount was paid because of a technical or typing error; or
- money was debited from your account but did not reach us.
How to request a refund
Contact us within 15 days of the payment with your name, mobile number, amount, date and transaction / UTR number. Approved refunds are sent back to the original payment method (UPI / bank account) within 7–10 working days.
Receipts
If a donation is refunded, its receipt and thank-you certificate are cancelled and cannot be used for any tax claim.
Cancellation
Recurring or pledged donations can be stopped at any time by informing us; amounts already received are covered by the rules above.
